FAQs
Yes — lighter shades absorb less heat than dark boards, so light grey stays more comfortable underfoot on hot days. It's a great choice for sunny, south-facing gardens, however antique might fair better for poolside areas or anywhere you'll be barefoot.
Our boards are engineered to resist UV fading. You may see very slight, even lightening in the first few months as the boards settle, after which the colour stays stable.
Because of the pale tone, general dirt and leaf debris can show a little sooner than on a darker board. The good news is it cleans up just as easily — a wash with warm soapy water and a soft brush across the grain restores it, and nothing stains into the surface.
None of the usual timber upkeep — no oiling, staining or sanding. An occasional wash with warm soapy water and a soft brush is all it takes.
