FAQs
Like any dark surface, darker composite absorbs more heat than pale boards, so a south-facing, sun-baked deck can feel warm underfoot at the height of summer. For most UK gardens it's perfectly comfortable — but if you're decking a suntrap or a barefoot poolside area, a lighter shade may suit better.
Our boards are engineered to resist UV fading. You may see very slight, even lightening in the first few months as the boards settle, after which the colour stays stable.
Less than any other shade in the range. Its deep tone is the most forgiving with footprints, dust and general garden debris, which makes it a popular choice for busy, high-traffic spaces.
None of the usual timber upkeep — no oiling, staining or sanding. An occasional wash with warm soapy water and a soft brush is all it takes.
