    Is this product suitable for all weathers?

    Yes, it has a number of features that make it suitable for all weathers, including UV protection, corrosion resistance and in-built drainage. This allows you to enjoy the pergola in bright sunshine, pouring rain, and everything in between!

    How is the roof operated?

    The roof is opened and closed using a manual winch located at the side of the structure.

    How durable is this product?

    This pergola is designed for long-term use. Its UV protection and corrosion resistance ensure it will stand the test of time.

    Do I need to clean out the gutters?

    Yes, we recommend cleaning the gutters of debris from time to time. This will prevent build-up, which could cause leakage.

    Do I need planning permission?

    No, you don’t need planning permission to install any of our 3m x 3m or 3m x 4m pergolas.

    Can I open just one side of the roof?

    Yes, the roof is composed of two independent parts, so you can have one side open and the other side closed. This is ideal if some of your guests want to sit in the shade, while others enjoy the sunshine.

    How does the drainage system work?

    The built-in drainage system collects water in U-shaped gutters and directs it into channels in the framework. From there, the water flows into the hollow legs of the pergola and travels down to the ground. This means you’ll never see water draining off your pergola so you can sit safely inside pretending it’s not raining! The drainage system also prevents your garden furniture (and your guests!) from getting wet if you open the louvre roof after a downpour.

    What surface should I build my pergola on?

    It’s important that you build your pergola on a solid, hard surface, such as a concrete base. Always ensure your pergola is securely bolted to the ground using the supplied expansion bolts.

    In order for the drainage system to work at its best, you should ensure the surface has a gradual decline to allow water to run off. Water should always be directed away from your house (or other buildings).
